Yeah, I know I said I'd be taking a break, but...
Anyways, anyone who has ever seen and heard a Tui bird know that the charm and "panache" of that oh-so-elegant ruff of white feathers on their breast is COMPLETELY offset by the sheer ridiculousness of their birdcall. So I here's a portrait of a Tui as a sophisticated lady, who maintains that air of elegance only as long as she remembers to keep quiet! (Please: no hate-mail from enraged ornithologists - I do love the Tui, I really do!) |
